Ridiculous present music copyright… meets art!

Here’s a guy who’s really using his brains to show just how ridiculous present music copyright is, and he’s making it into an art!

The fact that he’s going to give the GEMA (Think ASCAP for Germany) a sh!tload of work that should tie up their resources for a while as well… is just a bonus!

If only more people had his kind of patience and did this all over the world, it would be easy to overwhelm these idiotic agencies and really strike a point home.

“Johannes Kreidler hopes to question the concept of music copyright with a 33-second song called "Product Placements" that includes no fewer than 70,200 samples — each of which must be cleared in order for the song (listen below) to be legally released.
This will entail delivering 70,200 forms to German copyright authorities, which Kreidler intends to do on September 12 as a sort of performance art project to address copyright issues.”
