RIAA backers suffer: EMI down 1.2billion, Sony-BMG down 10s of millions, Warner down 10s of millions

For the past 5+ years scores of people have been disgusted by the tactics used by the slimy scumbags known as the RIAA, and it didn’t take long to figure out that the RIAA are just the scum on the leash for the bigger boys who actually are to be blamed: the big 4 music companies.

Without the backing and express consent of the music companies like EMI, Sony BMG, Warner and Universal/Vivaldi the RIAA wouldn’t have a leg to get the sliminess to stand on.

The RIAA are rumored at being the vilest, dirtiest, scummy, incestuous, bestiality loving bunch of sister sh@gging people (among other things) by people who like them… we really can’t print what the people who don’t like them are saying ;)   , but never forget that they are like the weapon used by the mugger, in the end it’s the mugger to blame for the crime not the knife.. or the bullets, it’s also worth noting that just like in the mugging metaphor the weapon and the mugger are pretty much co-dependent and not much on their own; just like the RIAA and the music labels.
Disgusted by the lawsuits and dirty tactics of the labels punishing the very people who supported them for so long people have for years stopped buying new CDs from shops but rather opted to buy second-hand from sites like eBay (or get them via P2P networks). Many people (like the author of this post) can’t really remember the last time they have purchased a music CD from a retailer.

And showing your disgust by your wallet has worked wonders!

Rather than go into details we are going to let the numbers speak for themselves:
Global sales for music in 2000 was $36.9billion, down to $29.9billion just last year (2007), the numbers look even more impressive like this: 7billion = $7,000,000,000 in losses (keep in mind this is not taking the industries numbers but actual numbers, if we were to take industry inflated numbers “due to piracy” and “lost sales” it would be trillions (or more) of dollars.)

With music appreciation and music consumption at an all time high one would think that the companies would be way up in the we-screwed-them-over-profits-line, but the fact or the matter is of the big-4 recording labels, 3 or them have posted numbers wayyy down and no real signs of improving… which we think is absolutely fantastic!
The sooner these parasites die the better for everyone.

Sony – BMG down tens of millions
Warner down tens of millions

And best of all, one of the big 4 (EMI) is on the ropes!
Hopefully one down 3 to go..
Unfortunately EMI is the smallest of the “big 4”.

Vivaldi-Universal is the only one of the big 4 who has generated positive numbers this year, but who still beats the “piracy is killing us” drum while shoveling billions of dollars into their coffers and ruining the lives of people who make just a few thousand a year struggling to make ends meet, and some who don’t even make that much because of personal problems related to disease/ accidents, or  who are unable to get a job or are homeless (or even dead).

Getting your point across via your keyboard or wallet seems to be the best way to get your vigilante justice these days, since laws have been bought and paid for by RIAA /MAFIAA/music label/money around the world.

The holiday season is crucial to most businesses and an especially lucrative time for the music business so pass the word around, DON’T buy new CDs as gifts and discourage family and friends from doing so as well no matter how good a deal you are getting because in the end you are screwing yourself, there’s a chink in their armor and it’s our job to keep hitting that very spot till we can scoop out their black souls from there and stamp it into the ground.

While we cannot really advise you to keep downloading and sharing due to legal reasons, what we _can_ tell you is keep doing whatever you have been doing for the past few years but with a renewed passion because the tide is turning… and now is not the time to rest and pat yourselves on the back. You CAN make a difference.

Fight and vote for justice with your wallet and your keyboard… and make those scumturds pay.

After all: ‘Tis the season to be merry!
