Spain Makes Net Access A Right
I have a love hate relationship with Spanish, I never really picked it up in School.. but love Spanish music even though I can’t understand what the heck they are singing about.
Add another point for the love side! Spain has taken the correct step forward and made internet access a right, just as Finland did a little while ago.
Spain also has some of the sanest laws when it comes to filesharing… sharing music and movies for personal use is perfectly fine (no matter how much the content industries whine about this) but if you have ads on your website where you have links to copyrighted files or you are sharing for profit (ie selling downloads) you can get hit pretty hard for copyright infringement.
With the RIAA/MPAA (MAFIAA) et al gunning for ‘3 strikes’ and kicking people off the internet, it should be interesting to see how this plays out in Spain.
Get out the popcorn, forget the kung fu movie, this one is going to be better entertainment.. and better dubbing!
