About: Why?
eZee.se is not your regular tech news site (anymore),
We have shifted from writing all our articles ourselves to instead linking to a host of sites and occasionally writing a few original articles ourselves – as time permits.
Why?
Quite simply because the news, as it is, is the the same, but the articles on the various sites like CNet/ Ars/ TechDirt/ TechCrunch/ Wired etc are their authors take on the news before its presented to the public… and these guys do wonderful job of writing and presenting the news, does the web really need another tech site to write about the same news?
We don’t think so, but we do think that visitors to our site should be shown all these different views on one single page, then attach the parts themselves to get a larger picture.
We used to jump from RSS to RSS feed just to get the same kind of news that we are presenting on a single page to you.. this is something that we would have liked ourselves.
Most of these articles take a substantial time to write, we know, we used to write a few ourselves, so rather than copy the entire article we instead copy a part of it and end on a ‘cliffhanger’ of sorts with a link to the original article, sending the visitor to the respective site in a new window.
Older articles are constantly updated as we find newer sources, a lot of our visitors reach eZee via the search engines and our ‘related articles’ links which means they are hopping between newer and older articles.
Unlike most sites what write once and update only if they need to make a correction, we consider our written articles always in “standby” – till they get updated with newer links and content.
We feel the need to whet the visitors appetite on whatever story they are reading by giving them different sources but we also don’t compete with the sites that actually create the articles as we do not copy the whole article plus we link directly to the page/s in question and send the visitor there – we believe we have found a really good balance in keeping the visitors happy as well as the sites that work so hard to create the content by sending them new visitors.
If you have any questions regarding the above or do not wish us to use _any_ content from your site, simply use the contact form and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Have a wonderful day with plenty of sunshine!
